Trump's "Border Wall" Symbolizes America's Destiny

The 20th century was an era of war. Border transgressions were routinely the cause of war, and wartime wins and losses determined national borders.
Until now, the U.S.'s national borders were simply regarded as a frontier, and border walls were considered unnecessary.
Today's U.S. territory is the result of incorporating part of Mexico into California, Arizona and Texas, and incorporating French territories into Florida.
Before the U.S. started building a border wall in 2006 along the borders of Mexico, there was no need to build one.
Because the United States has constitutionally guaranteed "freedom" to citizens within the United States, people have emigrated to the United States not only from Mexico but from all over the world.
During the Age of Exploration (from the 15th to 17th centuries) and the colonial period ( from the 18th to 20th centuries), Western Europe dominated Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Africa through military force and religion. In contrast, the United States embraced a national policy that promoted "freedom"?something that everyone regardless of ethnicity or religion sought. The United States also argued that the post-war Cold War world is a battleground between "freedom and dictatorship," thus conceptually expanding the frontier of a borderless United States to the entire world.
U.S. global domination was not an "enforced domination" based on the colonial period tools of military force and religion, but rather a "domination that was actually sought after by the global public."
After the war, the United States acknowledged its role as a global police force to protect the freedom and democracy around the world, and deployed military bases in 30 countries worldwide. It has repeatedly brought sanctions against and destroyed various dictatorships.

Since 2006, the United States has been building a physical wall along the border with Mexico together with a virtual wall using radar sensors along areas without a physical wall, and these have dramatically reduced the number of illegal immigrants from Mexico.
So why then would Trump insist on further reducing the already-minuscule number of illegal immigrants by issuing a presidential decree on the wall construction (2017) and even by issuing a declaration of emergency?
That is because the border wall is not simply a means to prevent illegal immigration, but also symbolic of a shift in American international policy.
It symbolizes the end of a tradition marked by ever expanding freedom and a borderless American territory.
Trump sees the building of visible walls to end an invisible frontier as his mission.
The aim is to annihilate American frontiers by withdrawing American military bases from 30 countries and encouraging the globally distributed monetary assets and corporations to return back home.
The border wall symbolizes a transition from a global America to an America that primarily exists for America (America first).
Putting America first is America's destiny, whether or not Trump realizes its true ramifications.
Let us come to grips with the reality that "post-war America" no longer exists.
